Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Something which I think some people don't realise is that HE have still got morning peak journeys on 86, I asked a friend of mine about this the other week when I saw him and he assured me that he's sure he's seen running boards for these journeys in depot at HE when he's been going through them.

As for 231 from what I can gather HE do most of them on Saturdays for some reason as one particular duty on X57 roster involves the driver doing a couple of 76s in the morning then a meal break and then doing a couple of 231s

I didn't realise they did most 231's on a Saturday, although it might explain why more Enviro400's tend to creep onto 217/218's and 346/347's then.

I know quite often late afternoon when I'm coming home from work it's often the case that Hybrids can be seen on the 231 heading towards Manchester, so I'm assuming it works a 219 to Ashton then a 231 back to Manchester.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
I'm guessing Stagecoach are a bit undecided as to what livery to use on the B7RLEs in Wigan. 21241 and 21248 both re-painted into slightly different liveries. Personally, I prefer the livery on 21241.

I think both versions of the livery, suit of the body style equally as well.

Well if they're looking for somebody to decide for them, I'll gladly take the mantle.
The 21241 is definitely better in my opinion. 21248 just looks unfinished somehow.

I think 21241's livery fits in Stagecoach terms the age of the vehicle - the Enviro style doesn't like right to me.

For the millionth time, there is no indecision. HE originally painted the B7RLEs to the Enviro300 spec, which is wrong. The full front swoops is correct, and all vehicles will be painted into this as time permits. Indeed, 21238 has already gone back into the paintshop to have the new front styling applied.

21238 looks the best with the white separating the two shades of blue.
