Which Commander is onloan to LS for this event
Last time I noted CX06 BJJ being used for the Hoylake Event, they say the Enviro's have safe mode fitted to them but when some drivers have them they don't half shift! Brilliant buses, shame the interior bodies a bit to plasticy
'Safe mode' isn't something fitted to vehicles. It isn't even a real thing. It's a nickname for the system within adblue engines whereby, upon a failure of the adblue filter, the engine automatically reduces power to reduce emissions until the adblue filter is repaired.
Ah I see!
Indeed on Alexander Dennis products the engine torque is reduced to just 60% when emission levels reach the specified level on the sensor, this means that the vehicle isn't spewing out as much carbon particulates as it would if there wasn't no adblue and the full torque was available. All VDL products also have the same system too.
The rail replacement between Hoylake & West Kirby was in the hands of DAF deckers 4141 & 4143 today, no Commanders to be seen.

i seen CX54 DKK by Laird Street around 11am earlier on, dont know whether its here for the Hoylake thing or just been for a M.O.T
I saw 2493 in service about 45 minutes ago on 320s so it would seem just MOT.
