It was on 464s the other day, also saw it on friday in liverpool broken down - i hear its one of the worst ones!
Had a pleasant ride today on 3129 on 413 which wasnt rare
Went on 4038 tonight on the 471, and it's fair to say this is far and away the slowest DLA I've been on. It's acceleration was pitiful to be perfectly honest. It wasn't a bad bus overall - clean and bright with comfortable seats - but compared with 4157, another Birkenhead DAF I had today, its speed was poor. 4157 is less presentable (not bad mind) but moves well and rides nicely.
I hate the DLAs not enough power i prefer the EX Blue Bus Presidents wish we had more
Not a fan of the ex-Blue Bus Presidents myself. They aren't anywhere near as smooth as the DLAs and their interiors are grim to say the least. That being said, they're still better than the VLWs.
Beggars cant be choosers when it comes to london cascades , some are good and some are poor , brand new double deckers are going to be hard to find these days .
yes but LS are not generally considered e beggars among the ANW depots - Let's hope the hybrids work when they arrive.

Agreed there. The presidents are terrible performance wise and reliability wise, but i still prefer them to the VLWs.
I havn't spoken to anybody who actually likes the presidents, they only have bad things to say about them! Poor southport depot..!
I had a ride on 2442 today, terrible bus compared to what it used to be. Very slow, and when pulling off when not completley stopped, say for example at a roundabout, once the driver puts their foot on the gas (no matter how gently) it pulls off in neutral then bangs and grinds into whichever gear it is supposed to be in!
Sounds like Southport have taken a pig in a poke with these vehicles.
