Birkenhead's allocations seemed a bit mad today:
- The 410 seemed to have a variety of buses on there (I'm not sure what's unusual and what's not on there at the moment), including DAF/ALX300 V414 ENC (2414), DAF/Cadet X442 HJA (2442), DAF/ALX400 S277 JUA (4097) and Plaxton Pointer 2 R558 ABA (7558), along with the usual Myllenniums.
- As already mentioned, President Y46 ABA (4000) was on the 411 (it provided an enjoyable ride!), along with DAF/Cadet X426 AJA (2426).
- The 403/413 had DAF/ALX400 S288 JUA (4158) on it, of which was also on the 423 earlier tonight!
- The 432/433/437 had Plaxton Pointer 2 S848 RJC (2328) on it, which I rode and found it to be an OK ride (not too busy on-board, however the gearbox seemed to be a bit jerky...).
- Enviro400 CX58 FZO (4402) was out on the 495, however I seen it running out of service somewhere near New Brighton at about mid-afternoon (unless another 'decker of its type has a Chester Zoo back-end advert applied to it).
Heard from 3 reliable people I know in LS
7551 - 7554 - 7556 have departed for St Helen's
7547 - 7557 - 7558 won't be here for much longer
2328 - 2314 -2316 should be transferring shortly
2344 - 2345 might be staying for a while
There has been a few drivers/staff complaining about 2479 luggage rack that if they bend down to tidy up abit they bang there head on the sharp bases of the rack layers so might be heading for the rack to be removed - time will tell

4400 also has the Chester Zoo advert.
Sad only seeing one dart out on the 418/419 today, being 7547 (R547 ABA) Considering it is usually dart based :'( the other buses being 3 cadets including 2424 (X424 AJA) & 2434 (X434 HJA) and 2 V-ENC's

Theres a decker(s) allocated to the 403/413/423 almost daily now, quite rare not to see a decker on the 403/413/423, the route does get busy around School chucking out time, & can be busy when theres a gap in the service.
It will be interesting to see when the hybrid double deckers come in to service whether any will skive off into normal service , not just the tunnel routes.
