Some extremely surprising news is that Arriva are to resurrect the Circular Tour this summer, using Leyland PD2/Weymann CWM 151C which is to be loaned to Southport for the season.

Also from the same source, I am informed that some of the redundant London Mercedes-Benz Citaro bendybuses are to be trialled on the 47/48A over the next few weeks.
That is a major surprise DEM! As wonderful as it would be to see 51 earning a crust again the vast majority of drivers don't have full manual entitlement on their licences and as for bendies that would be fun.

The cynical part of me is wondering whether a certain date of the year has something to do with these proposals Big Grin

Has Wigan always been on the Palatine blinds or has it been added at a later date?

I think that all the destinations have been added at a later date. It is now possible to display (at least it is on 3319) Ormskirk on the upper blind and SOUTHPORT on the lower blind.
3309 is a very rare sighting on the 300 today, just seen it leaving Bootle Strand, Southport Bound.
