There's a very good reason for these forth-coming services changes - profit. All Arriva garages are under pressure to increase their profit margin so the withdrawal of the 42 is a good indication that the service was not making enough profit. And if Arriva can't make it pay, what chance has anybody else?
Most of the 42 is covered by the 44 anyway so hardly a big loss surely
Just a thought: With Arriva cutting a few services around Southport, could this encourage Rotala having just purchased SLT to introduce some new services in the area?

The only Southport Links branded Pulsars are 3082-90 so it will be one of those SLT
Hmm I'm confused unless it was 3087 and the number was partially removed i guess anyway Pulsar2 on the 385 Sorry guys it confused me all afternoon even nearly walked to the pub to bus watch all afternoon looking for it
Rode 4577 today on 385, had an annoying creeking interior noise at the front over every small bump, I'd imagine the drivers do their best to avoid taking this one out, awful for a new bus
Ive been told arriva retained it but not 100% sure but il try find out.
