2252 out on 47 today
There are four or five open top conversions in Canning Road tonight. Does anyone know why they are there and where they are bound for?

They are simply there to be stored for the winter as their home depot is having some work done so they can't be kept there.

I would imagine that their withdrawn darts will disappear very soon to make some space.
It does seem odd that their being stored at Southport Depot this year as in the past they've been stored at St Helens Depot but I'm guessing St Helens haven't got the room for them anymore
Problem at st helens at the min is theres that many scrap buses there some are being parked under the roofed area so deffo no room at the moment.
3035 is the latest and as a guess the last refurb, 3040 isn't done and probably won't get done as 3044 got done instead.
According to the Arriva Southport Facebook page, Volvo B10BLEs/Wright Renowns 2719/20 will transfer to St Helens over the weekend due to a reduction in PVR after the service changes this coming Sunday. Dart/Plaxton Pointer 2252 will be withdrawn on Saturday due to MoT expiry, ending around 16 years of Dart operation here.
Thank goodness for that lol Smile
