Just passed one on the 47 on Stanley Rd heading into town around 19:20 and it looked quite cosy inside!
So they stayed on there all day, well at least they picked the right day for it as Southport was quiet today. But then they had the ex Bootle decker on locals today.
Yeah 4414 4416 4418 are Used on 46 almost everyday no idea why
2579 Now here
A batch of 10 Wright Streetlite single deckers are on order for Southport in addition to 24 Street Deck double deckers for Green Lane.
Southport will apparently be getting 10 new Wright Streetlite single deckers whilst Green Lane are due double deckers.. Apparently both are due for this year
Poor old Southport! One hopes these aren't intended for the busy 47 because they would almost certainly be disastrous on that route. Think Birkenhead's batch, now banished from the route for which they were bought.

With any luck the 47 gets upgraded with whatever the Enviro400Cities replace at St Helens. It's about time that route was converted to deckers

I would’ve thought Arriva may have looked at the new Streetdeck Single Decker as opposed to the Streetlites but I suppose price of application may also be a reason and of course standardisation despite there not being too many differences between Streetlite/Streetdeck engine side of things anyway
