4214 has been withdrawn over the last couple of days because its rear axle is deemed uneconomic to repair/replace.
Other Southport news is that 4578/9/82 are in the new blue rinse livery with 4575 being finished off at the bodyshop. The rest of the batch will be done in turn.
4672 and 4674 are on loan to cover the Merseyrail platform upgrades. 4673 was here but was returned to Green Lane last Monday. Further deckers are due by 1st February to cover for the Southport to Bank Hall phase.
2495 and 2629 have left the fleet and are rail pool fleet spares along with loan SB120s 2493, 2499, 2500 and 2608.
2497 is also a member of the Rail Pool but remains as a paint float to cover for the Enviro400s away being painted.

Heard a rumour one of the Enviro400s at Southport may be painted into Ribble livery to mark the centenary of its formation this year.
Will 2141 & 2142 get the same refurb as 2143 & 2144?

As Stagecoach are the legal owners of the Ribble name, would Arriva be allowed to use it? Just asking.

Arriva won't be passing themselves off as Ribble, as the livery is just as a celebration of Ribble Motor Services Ltd. Given that Merseyside had the largest concentration of Ribble services and vehicles, it is only right that something is done to commemorate the 100th anniversary. Stagecoach North Lancashire & Cumbria, who are the successors of Ribble, may grant permission based on the premise of my first sentence.
Do those people who own old Ribble vehicles have to ask Stagecoach for permission to use the name and livery on their buses? Probably not.

I would have thought Glenvale Transport T/A Stagecoach in Merseyside, Cheshire & South Lancashire would be mote appropriate, as they have a base in Preston where Ribble Started

They may well paint one of their bus in Ribble livery. They have done previously.
Buses arriving on loan for the next phase of Merseyrail platform works starting on Saturday are 4562/3/4/5/8 and 4571 from Speke with 4633 from Bootle. 4665 is also due from Green Lane to compliment existing loanees 4672 and 4674.
These bring the total compliment to 10 Enviro400s adding nearly 20% to Southport's fleet.
4672 and 4674 have been seeing service on routes 46, 47, 300 and 375/385 during this weeks lull.
My mate says he's just seen what appeared to be a gas bus on rail replacement work. It was in "environmental" livery, and the registration began WX13. It would appear to be Arriva Durham County 4814 from Darlington.
He's usually fairly reliable, but I'm very sceptical in this instance - it would be an utterly perverse transfer.
Probably got mixed up, it will have been a hybrid starting MX13,
