I'm no lover of Marshall Darts, but having been on a few of the Southport ones recently, there still ok, they do the job & having been refurbished look ok for their age. I know there is talk of them being withdrawn by the end of the year, but you can't blame Arriva for continuing to use them I suppose.
The talk of replacing them with slightly newer Darts as a stop gap seems an odd choice though.
DAF/ALX400 4094 has suffered a catastrophic engine failure and will be scrapped. Such a shame... Angel
What we getting as a replacement
Another DAF/Alx400 probably.

Awwh! My heart bleeds!LOL

It's a pity a few more don't have failed engines (seeing as most of them are knackered anyway).

I for one won't miss 'em!Wink

The thing is at the moment Arriva are just sending knackered engined double deck london vehicles up north , investment in new double deckers is only for specific requirements .
Boarded a 375 today from Skem to Ormskirk there was a guy from TfGM noting everyone's tickets, thought it strange as he was outside their area
2727 on the 47/48's today while a few of the 47/48 branded pulsars were out on the 43/46 and 49's
