Not sure on the exact reasons but at weekends more are spare as 883 doesn't run either Sat or Sun and 899 doesn't run Sundays so more are available to go out if need be.
The 17B has been a regular haunt for the bread vans on a Sunday since January - surely a better allocation could be found for this route linking St Helens and Widnes.
OAP in HTL's fleet, W958 PAU, is unusually out on the 56 tonight (and unusual in itself to be out on a Sunday) - not a bad bus for its age!
The big Solos aren't that bad really, W958 is one of the better ones but W602 is the best as it has seemingly brand new power steering in (seems to be the same type as the 12 reg Solos so steers much more lightly than the other older ones), new buttons on the dashboard and a new steering wheel!
Can't say I've ever seen them on 141.

one has been out the at least twice, someone i know does the route regular
I live on the route and I'm pretty sure I've never seen one, so if they have been on it's still very rare.
When ive seen one on the 141/36 they tend to only do the first trip then get changed over in st helens.
It could be when that happens there aren't enough Darts/Solos at the time the bus leaves the depot to go on the 141/36 but as soon as other buses come in from other daytime services they'll sort a bus swap out.
Are any other Solo SRs due?
