While nothing official has been posted I have it on good authority that this is all true and was the case from 2pm yesterday.

Could using it as a little base to start bids on franchising possibly the previous owners of HTL have probably realised they wont likely win any contracts as an independent.

If it is true wonder if the firm will get renamed and rebranded as Tower Transit
I would suggest the ownership at HTL were possibly looking at an exit before franchising given another operator had been in discussions with them and subsequently pulled out. Given ComfortDelGro bid and won in Manchester without any prior operation I'm not sure what difference it'll make in the grand scheme of things.
Seems an interesting purchase for Tower Transit, could lead to some wins as/when franchising happens in LCR.
Rightly/wrongly smaller operators like HTL are at a big disadvantage with franchising and compared to others on Merseyside they were the biggest one so selling up is probably their only option.
Interesting times.
Is there actually any published proof anywhere from Tower Transit or HTL over this takeover
As overwise it's rumors and speculation which admin should remove posts until something official is published
The Staff was given official information on the day

Yes as you say but there been no Public proof of the takeover so really it shouldn't be published on forums etc until something official is posted by either company
Normally with takeovers there public announcements also company houses get updated but nothing official in public eye about takeover
The thing is it isn't rumours or speculation though, just because nothing official has been produced means nothing. Messages on the ticket machine to staff who in turn are showing and telling everybody. It's a done deal and it is as simple as that. It is unlikely that anything will change until April 1st which is when I think the existing owners finish up.
A little too early to call, but what is the future for Merseylink under Tower Transit?
