This as happened numerous times now and is becoming dangerous as it was only a few months ago st helens was diverting there 89 due to this.
Shopping trollies , metal fence sections , paving slabs , breeze blocks etc were just some of the items getting thrown at the drivers side of the window screen last time which puts peoples lives at risk or serious injuries.
Mindless yobs who have no concern over who gets injured with there actions.
Bizarrely though, the 3A, 166 and 188 which all serve this road after 7pm are not on diversion. The bus involved here was YJ61MOA and has already been repaired so should be back out tomorrow - lucky nobody was hurt.
Like the spokesperson for HTL said, two feet the other way and it could have seriously injured - possibly killed - the driver. No retribution either, as the youths know for a fact they’re on a conveniently unlit path with no CCTV or vehicular access which makes catching them near impossible as they can vanish into the darkness. Only going to get worse as it gets darker earlier. Need a practical solution to this ASAP, maybe build higher walls or fencing. Sure diverting the buses will work, but then they’ll just target cars instead. Absolutely astounded there hasn’t been any serious injuries up to now.
You really have to wonder what gets into these idiots heads, this has been going on for years in different areas but this seems on a new scale altogether.
Enviro200 out on 159 today, first time I have seen one if those in a while. Hopefully it is a lot better than it looked as a really shabby looking bus.
Looks like it came off around 1pm, not a great bus - this and DK08AZO have never been as reliable as the 06 plate MPDs.
Yes it was just about 12.30 when I seen it at Bootle Strand
SN06BMZ suffered fire damage this evening on the M57.
Any idea what is happening with J8 HTL please? I've been willing to ask about this for a while now as I've never seen it on local routes (such as 102, 898/899)
It had a new engine fitted last year and is meant to be coming back but it is some way off.
