depends what route you get on. All merseytravel services are a fixed price £1.10 if recall but htl charge 1.70 on commercial routes
Ok so likes of arriva charge you different fare stages depending how far your travelling. Is HTL different?
All fixed fares on HTL, most routes use Merseytravel fares so £1.10 adult, 50p child at present.

The commercial routes (route 258 (Stockbridge Circular) and Mon-Fri dayimes on 166/188/266/288 (Garston Circulars)) charge £1.90 adult, £1 child, as far as I know!

The Asda Hunts Cross Bus is free to ride however!
Ex Nottingham Solo W601 PTO is on the Asda Shuttle today (the usual Vario is in the depot) while similar W603 PTO is on route 187 (Liverpool South Parkway - Hope University).

Also noted this morning, rental Enviro200 KX59 CYV was on the 173/4!
What bus is used on both the 159 and 56??

They tend to use the 06 plate darts on here, as the Solos can't cope on the 159 service....
Are they both busy routes then??

The 159's can have standing loads on some trips, and the first 56 from Liverpool can be busy. But the reason why the 56 route have darts on them is because they come from the 159 duties as the bus is available without having to run empty from the garage in Huyton.
What engines are in the darts? The euro 4 cylinder blocks rather than the 6 cylinder cummins engines from the older darts?
All of the Dart MPDs HTL currently operate have the Euro3, 4 cylinder, 3.9 litre Cummins ISBe engine.

The Dart SLF/ALX200 has the larger Euro2, 6 cylinder, 5.9 litre Cummins B-series engine and a Voith gearbox!
