Not the best pic in the world, but here is the best I could do for a pic of MX05 SMO with the corner of Vario R192 DNM in it!

HTL Buses MX05 SMO by buses7675!, on Flickr

HTL have another acquired Mercedes Sprinter 616CDi, MX05 SMO, an overall white example with a wider than normal body (apparently Koch but to be confirmed), this bus was new in 04/2005 but has just arrived at HTL, having been retaxed this month.

It's now out on the 883! (Half past the even hours from Huyton, odds from JLA.)

Interestingly, former HTL DE52 OJU went the other way, from Huyton to Cardiff, and was photographed on the 26B by the same photographer who took that one of MX05 SMO on the 26A! (Are these two routes run by the same operator?)
Wow, that is quick to get it on the 883 already!

It answers the question anyway as to if it was for service work or Merseylink!

EDIT - Just had a check too, the body work is Mellor, believed to be DP18F but to be confirmed!
Solo YJ12 PNN was in use on the Huyton Circulars today, shame to see M710's being used as the 246 in particular gets full at times.
I saw this out too, one thing that is notable now, via info is now provided rather than just 'Huyton Circular' on the screen for all four routes!
YJ12 PNN is back out on the Huyton circulars today. MX05 SMO (or whatever the reg is, the new Merc anyway!) is out on the 898. Looks very odd I have to say!
W603PTO on the 137.
Rental Enviro200 KX59 CYV is on the 897 too unusually!

BX12 DZG features 17 seats - 14 if a wheelchair is on-board. It was on the 236 today; my first impression of the bus was good (it had everything on-board!), however I felt every bump along the way (and there were a lot of speed-bumps)... The ride-quality was unbearable for the majority of my journey - better rides at a fairground! It'd look nicer with silver wheel embellishers, however it'd also look nice in HTL's livery!

What buses do HTL currently use? A friend of mine said that when they recruit drivers, they only put them on two routes..is this the case?
