Gemini 4440 MX61AYS was on the 78 yesterday i rode it made a very nice change from the usual commander and even more so from a cadet!
3332 on the 699 today as well as the blue bendy bus. Is this unusual as I've never seen it (3332) run that route before

Judging by a constant flow of photos on Facebook, they seem to spend a lot of their time on the 86/86A which, to be honest, isn't too bad of an allocation because those services are frequent - therefore, anybody who has a problem with boarding them doesn't have to wait too long for another bus (not an ideal situation, but better than waiting for about 30 minutes when they're on the likes of the 78)!
The 86 is one of the depots premium routes so they're not really ideal on there. They're awful buses which are a disgrace to the fleet at the moment and shouldn't even be on fleet strength. They should have been replaced with something more suitable (like a DLA). Not a good first impression for Liverpool if that is your bus into the City Centre after stepping off a plane. Plus there have been times when 3332 and 3313 have both been on the 86A behind each other so that would leave you with a 24 minute wait from the airport if you had to use the 86A. Unacceptable really.
They are regularly allocated to the 699, jtd. It's been a little less common in recent weeks but when they initially arrived they were more often on the 699 than anything else.

There is no way an Olympian should be getting anywhere near a "Q"BP route. They are specified as 'accessible' routes with 'modern' buses for a good reason. An R-WVR is neither. Routes like the 78 might be infrequent but they're not advertised as accessible so there is no guarantee a low-floor bus should turn up.
Is the hybrid revolution going to see these old olympians off once and for all , when vehicles displaced start a merry go round .
I have to say, I agree with 3111 that I would rather wait 5 mins for a low floor bus than 30 mins. Besides, I dont see many prams on an 86 either.
3313 has been on the 79/79D all day Smile
let it stay on there as its a high frequency route , its when it drops on to one of the less frequent routes thats when its a problem .

That is a poor excuse for an Olympian being on one of these services. I see prams on the 86 regularly and I'm sure many other routes do. These routes are meant to be "Quality" Bus Partnerships and they see breaches every day from both sides, weather it be these Olympians from Arriva or SPDs from Stagecoach. Breaches are breaches. Just seems like both bus companies have adopted the Merseytravel mentality of not giving a damn about it.
