Certainly not the end for 2475 yet. I rode it on the 80 today.
When I said that the end is nigh I meant soon as it is one of the oldest if not the oldest single deck bus left, so it won't be long before it is withdrawn.

2475 sounded far more healthy than the Marshall Dart I rode on the 61 afterwards. 2475 had few rattles since its p & p, much better than when it operated for years on the 79!

Unfortunately, Arriva don't seem to do things on condition, more age now and that is despite it having some money spent on things quite recently. Remember 2402 & 2403, p&p'd and then about a year later withdrawn, you wonder what the point is don't you. As for the marshall darts, well most of Bootles Marshall's are a bit rough these days, not long left for those either.
2247 is on the 79 today, and YJ59 AZA is on the 500!
YJ59 AZA is making an appearance on 81/81A this morning, seems as though this bus is being trialled on all routes by Speke probably to see if they like them for a possible future order for them. (Perish the thought).

Managed to catch this - nice ride with little rattles in comparison to typical Arriva ones, like it was at Impera!
2465 was on the 82; 2475 was on the 75; a B7TL was on 79s.
I would normally have caught the 81 on that it was running but I took the car today so that was that. Must admit that despite my dislike for pulsars I would still have liked to have tried it out.

It's certainly something different. One thing that I really like is the bonded glazing, which leaves a nice little ledge to lean on!
Gemini 2 4452 MX61AYL apparently caught fire in Halewood on sunday its batteries caught fire the damage isn't too severe and is confined to the battery box it was towed back to Speke and will be repaired. (Credit John Glover & 2002 bus blog on facebook)
