Just went to Prescot to see what was on the J5 and Gemini 4474 was in use...and surprise surprise it was carrying nothing but fresh air! Does a anyone know why they're wasting Geminis on this on a daily basis when Commanders and Cadets sit in the depot?

The problem is, Speke are not bathing in spare buses as was mentioned on here previously. I worked out their weekday PVR the other day and came to a grand total requirement of at least 119 and usually 120 buses. They have an allocation of 130 leaving ten spares on a good day, bearing in mind 4129 is away for repair and until recently at least one (and often two) buses were away for P&P. These J5 allocations seem odd on paper but it potentially could tie in with the MOT requirements of general rotas, for instance. I'm sure the allocation considered most suitable by the depot would be a single decker as it clearly doesn't require Geminis.
Noticed 3334 on the 78 in the square, might send this to LS now that 3313 is back
Seen 4117 earlier on, engine on this does not sound healthy at all.
Seen an unidentified Gemini on the 75 on Hanover street
4120 was broken down on the 86s on Allerton Road this afternoon.
There was another 41** and a Gemini on the 81s
My body is aching at the thought of riding on Palatine 2 R332 WVR (3332) again - I sampled it on the 78 between Queen Square Bus Station and Mann Island today and the flat seats, the rough suspension and the rattles made it very uncomfortable! Its interior and exterior were very scruffy and all comments regarding it dragging Speke down after their delivery of 44 brand-new double-deckers are well-and-truly correct!

3313 has returned to Speke after just a single day away and was on the 86/86A today. Clearly nothing wrong with it after all! Classmate 3332 was on the somewhat more acceptable haunt of the 78 today, while 4120 was a surprise visitor to the 76 corridor.
4464 IIRC, I was on this bus this morning on the 82, and the noise from the brakes was awful. A high pitched squealing noise each time the driver touched the brakes, not sure if any of the others do this but I was on 4474 yesterday morning and another tonight and they seemed fine.
Saw the J5 this afternoon going through Kirkby with no one board, Gemini operated again.
Gemini 4438 replaced troubled Myllennium 2467 on the 81A this afternoon at Liverpool Airport at around 17.00. The decker then worked an 81A trip to Bootle, returning at 18.00 to Speke as an 81. A nice change from the norm.
