That's only Rhyl's - for some reason, their Sapphire Enviro400s are different to the other brand new ones (ours in North East have Civics on both decks).

You're right, I forgot about that. Must have been a special request from Rhyl management when ordering them or something like that.

The wrexham enviros on the 1 have the same layout so it may be a welsh thing.
It has been confirmed on the Arriva North West Facebook page that 4206 and 4207 are due here imminently from St Helens. These may be the replacements for 2732/33, if they haven't left or been withdrawn already.

At least someone had the sense to replace 2 deckers with 2 cascaded deckers for the 699.
2732/2733 weren't exactly the best replacement for 2 S2**JUA's
2459 has now returned here after being on loan to Birkenhead, it is back on 81's this morning.

I think it's a Micheal Morton thing more than anything and fair play to him for that. When he was in one of the trade mags I seem to recall he suggested that there was a small amount of latitude at local level for Sapphire specs, although not much. I imagine it all comes down to whether the numbers stack up and presumably they do for the two Welsh services.
