No problem with your sighting at all, Daniel. Certainly of interest to me.

People can post whatever they like, but a pulsar on a 53 is just a pulsar on a 53, nothing more. Its like saying for example dart 2241 is on a 61, its just another dart that's on that service regardless of where it came from.

I agree - the bus is fairly new to Bootle, so such an allocation may be of use to people who may be interested in finding it (such as myself).

Both 2660 and 2666 were on the 53A and 53 respectively yesterday. I managed to ride on 2660 and it was quite nice, but it was emitting excessive white smoke. 2944 and 3021 were two others that also seemed to have this problem yesterday, both having wheezy-sounding engines and being quite sluggish (but not "slow") and the latter even emitting black smoke.

Any sign of 2661-5 yet?

Not yet! It may be that they're stored somewhere whilst Bootle sort-out transfers due to space issues within the depot.

I saw 2665 (CX58 EUF) in Kirkdale yesterday. It had passengers on board but was seemingly being taken out of service (back to the depot) as its LED destinations weren't working.

Are they the ex welsh ones as a i seen a freshly painted one yeasterday heading up the M57 towards speke way yeasterday.

They're all from Wales although 2663/4/5/6 were originally at GL but swapped with 2642/3/4 from Aber (for tachographs)

Got on 2665 on the 311 before. The back seats are heavily vandalised and the stopping indicator does not work. Apart from that a decent bus!
