I was on it earlier that evening. It replaced a new decker at Linacre Lane. The driver was less than impressed and commented that she was the last one out of the city and there could be capacity issues.

I was on the last trip and we left town with a standing load (whilst 4413 ran pretty-much empty on the last 55). It's not unusual for a 'decker to struggle on the last 52A on Saturday nights, never mind a Pulsar!
2919 and 4416 are on the 52s today!

If you go past Bootle depot after 7pm on a Saturday you can see a lot of new deckers parked up and wedged in in the overspill area in such a way that they can't be used in service until the depot empties on Monday morning. The fact that Sefton council has repeatedly refused Arriva planning permission to extend its footprint on the adjacent waste land makes no sense at all.
Bootle could certainly do with expanding, passed earlier and the car park is full of buses, no deckers in there today though.
2235 is out on the 58 today

....And another Interurban Dart 2226 is on the 56 today.
Looks like these are the last two then.
A lot of drivers will be sad to see the Darts go, as some of them are a lot nicer to drive than modern Pulsars.
The (X2.. ANC) Darts in particular are well-liked for being quick and nimble, probably because they're a lot lighter than the ALX200 (X2.. OBN) versions (6833kg against 7280kg).
It's just a pity the experience doesn't extend to the passengers (brittle bodies, rattles, very noisy engines and awful esteban urban90 seats!)
2226 and 2235 are both on the 56 today.
2910 has now been repainted! 2704 is still here too.
Is 2704 out in service as every time I have seen it, it has been in the car park at the depot.
