That's what that service seems to be like on Saturdays now. It's a different story throughout the week, though! Four Pulsars are free from use on the 62 on Saturdays (as the 62A doesn't run), along with one or two from on the 52/52A (lower frequency). Instead of them being allocated onto the 53/53A (the services that should be prioritised), the 56/56A/156 and the 58, they allocate them onto the 311 instead. Apparently, it's an attempt to improve the reliability of the service as the Darts have been unreliable on there recently.
Does anybody know what ex-Speke DAF/ALX400s are actually at Bootle at the moment? I've seen S266 JUA (4026), S269 JUA (4029) and S270 JUA (4029) myself and I think S267 JUA (4027) and S268 JUA (4028) are at Speke, possibly for storage, which leaves S265 JUA (4025) and S271 JUA (4031) missing. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
4025/7/8/31 were all the ones which went down to Bangor for the music festival shuttles with Birkenhead's 4038/50. I've got a feeling the four Bootle ones are stored due to no room in Bootle depot for them.

Thanks for that. I wonder if they'll return in the future...? There's been an "Interurban" DAF/ALX400 in Bootle depot missing its' front bumper for a while now and, of course, 4059 is away for maintenance. Lucky that the Summer timetables are in place at the moment...!
How many routes does the bootle depot operate and do they require drivers?

There have been a few new faces and supervisors driving recently, so I presume that they're short of drivers at the moment. I could be wrong, though. With it being the (so-called) Summer period, there might have been too many holidays booked, or something like that. You'd be better to contact the depot; if you want the phone-number for the depot, feel free to PM me! Smile

Bootle operate the 52/52A (Netherton > Liverpool), the 53 (Crosby > Liverpool) and the 53A (Aintree > Liverpool), the 54 (Thornton > Liverpool), the 55/55D/155 (Old Roan > Liverpool), the 56/56A/156 (Netherton > Liverpool - Bootle operate the 156 on Saturday mornings only, whilst HTL Buses operate all of the other journeys), the 58 (Netherton > Liverpool), the 59 (Netherton > Bootle - this service interworks with the 61 during Monday to Saturday daytimes), the 60 (Bootle > Aigburth - this service interworks with the 61 during evenings and on Sundays and bank holidays), the 61 (Bootle > Aigburth - this service interworks with the 59 during Monday to Saturday daytimes and with the 60 during evenings and on Sundays and bank holidays), the 62/62B (Crosby > Allerton) and the 62A (Allerton > Bootle), the 210 (Maghull > Liverpool - Monday to Saturday morning journeys are operated by Bootle and other journeys are operated by Cumfybus), the 311 (Skelmersdale > Liverpool), the 345 (Waddicar > Liverpool - on Mondays to Fridays, one journey in the morning starts in Skelmersdale and finishes in Liverpool and one journey in the evening starts in Liverpool and finishes in Skelmersdale) and the 350 (Maghull > Liverpool).
Michael's list above summarises things nicely, except for one minor point: the 62 route terminates at Penny Lane in Mossley Hill, not Allerton.
