Interurban 2708 (X708 DBT) B10BLE/Renown is on 53-CROSBY route today, whilst Stagecoach have responded by putting an even older vehicle on the 53!
17201 (V201 MEV) Trident/ALX400 decker is out there.
QBP? With 15 year old buses??

82/86 get these old Tridents regular and that's also a QBP
Also on Wirral Stagecoach sometimes put X and Y plate buses on there QBP 1/2
Using old and/or unsuitable buses on QBP routes is nothing new of course. St Helens had step-entry Paladins on the 10/10A from time to time until the bitter end and Bootle have never been afraid to stick the odd Dart on the 53/53A.
Prior to the arrival of the new Enviro400s it wasn't uncommon to see older stock such as Ultralows, Renowns, ALX300s and even Endurances occasionally deployed on the 10B. The thing is though would passengers rather an older bus turned up or no bus at all? Whilst the Endurances had poor access for buggies and wheelchairs (and to be fair they were very rarely on the 10B towards the end of their service life) the Ultralows, Renowns and ALX300s on the other hand were accessible for disabled passengers or those travelling with buggies. I don't think I've seen many older vehicles on the 14 from Arriva (or Stagecoach) but one allocation that stands out from Arriva was a P-reg Ultralow (I think it was 5308 from memory) back in 2011
Whilst it should be rightfully expected on a Quality Bus Partnership route that all vehicles should be modern this isn't always possible - a shortage of available newer vehicles can necessitate the allocation of an older vehicle to avoid missing out any services - and missed services are a loss in revenue that could quite easily be gained by an older vehicle
And dont forget the emphasis here is "partnership" so all honestly operators could send any vehicles out. How many times have Stagecoach had Solos on the 10A/10C over the years.
How many Volvo B10BLEs have Bootle got at the moment as I'm sure I saw one yesterday afternoon operating 54 Liverpool-Thornton serivice while one of the other workings on there was a Enviro400 with a rather squeaky interior and it wasn't one of the ex Cross River ones if that helps

Bootle have B10s 2704, 2705 (which was on the 54) and 2708. 4434 (MX09 LXS) has a very annoying squeak at the front and was on the 54 yesterday (IIRC) so it was probably that one.

I had the Zoe's Place Enviro400 (4426) on the 61 yesterday and it also has an annoyingly loud squeaking coming from the front.
Probably just something that needs tightening up.
One of the new Enviro400 deckers at Bootle has already developed rattling from its upper deck destination paneling cover.
Pretty certain this is 4630 (SN15 LMV).
Bit shocking for a brand new bus!

I went on a brand new bus back in February and it was rattling very loudly from the destination box cover and a couple of the grab poles. This shouldn't be happening at all on a bus that's brand new. I was extremely glad to get off it at the end of its journey - but I agree it's really poor that a brand new bus is rattling when there are some buses that are over ten years old that don't rattle at all
