Bootle provided a few Enviro400s for the Wirral Line rail replacement today, but still managed double deckers on the 53 and 55 as well as the 52/52A - how it should be every weekend. New additions 4625 and 4634 were both on the 53, easily outshining Stagecoach's offering of Versas on this route.
To be honest Stagecoach's offerings on the QBP routes is what is probably just about deemed passable .
Was that all the Enviro400's in use either on the Rail work or in service from Bootle today.
12-plated Pulsars still here today (from what I seen):
3108 - 53
3109 - 62
3110 - 61
3114 - 58
3115 - 55
2265 was on the 53!
4423 is on the 52s today. To the untrained eye, it looks like a new one - nowhere near as nice as one though as it's too loud, slow, green inside and Wi-Fi-less!
Meanwhile, 4626 is on the 54 and one is also on the 61. 2638 is on the 53.
Some of the new Enviro400s were spreading their wings again today, with 4623 and 4624 on the 55, 4632 and 4633 on the 61, a couple on the 60 and even one on the 62. The 53 was a mixture of the older Enviro400s and Pulsars today, but the 55 was at least fully double decked.
I'm surprised Bootle haven't put any of the newbies out on 310/311 yet as they seem to have been on other Bootle Depot services.

The allocation of deckers should be done on the basis of need. As far as I know, the 55 is far more likely to justify a decker than the 310/311. I suspect that the 55 will have a full allocation of the new Enviro400s today and every Sunday from now on.

They're only two weeks old. There's still time yet! 'Deckers are generally rare on those services these days anyway. If there's one spare one day and something fails/needs swapping onto the 310/311, there's always a chance that way. On the other hand, I've never seen or heard of a Gemini going onto them yet.

Not the case today - at least one Pulsar was on the 55 alongside 4428. All three of the 53s were new Enviro400s, though: 4628, 4631 and 4633.
A report on Yahoo groups today has ex Bootle Pulsars 3109/11/12 observed heading south through the West Midlands on the M6 earlier today, on their way to their new home at Arriva Shires no doubt.
