Interesting as was on 61 this morning, but then I did see it leaving strand drop off and going straight back to the depot.

4097 (S277 JUA) Interurban DB250/ALX400 decker is on 53A-AINTREE STATION route today.
If the 53/53A route is supposed to be a QBP corridor, then why's a 15-year old tired London DLA decker being put out on it? (4097 is 15 years' old on 23/02/14)
Is Bootle seriously short of decent buses?

As said by other people QBP routes can be a joke at times , enough said on the subject to date in other areas.
Yep 7669 has been re-motd and is now taxed til feb next year. Anyone know what this bus is like ride and engine wise?

I got on it today, its not 'too' bad but seems to have no heating and a rattling noise coming from underneath. My video from a few months will help clarify what I mean. It can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTVjyzbNtUk

And how do we know there wasnt a vehicle off road for whatever reason?? At least something turned up and was still low floor. The depot dont just allocate old vehicles for the sheer fun of it, its whats left in the depot after planned maintenance and after current issues crop up and whatevers left then has to be used

Personally, I'd be happy that it was a decker. Smile

I think what he is trying to say is that we have got so used to new or newish vehicles that when you get a DLA on a service even though it is a double decker its a big let down , but as you say it is low floor and is a double decker so beggars cant be choosers.
