In reply to my own question, the deckers do start on Sunday and they will be free for that day. Nice gesture. I wonder if passengers on the Stanley Road corridor will be aware of this or just catch (and pay) the first bus that comes along (X2, 47, 53, 54)?

The free service to coincide with the launch of the Enviro400s on Sunday.

This week's free newspaper the Bootle Champion has a wrap-around advertising and promoting the Arriva app and the new deckers - including the free service - that start on Sunday. Was the same publicity given when St Helens launched its new deckers last month? As the 52/52A is not a shared QBPS, I suspect not.

I wonder if Chester will do something similar when it launches its Sapphire 10 service later this month?
stagecoach don't operate many service up this way mostly arriva
4201 is currently here and is working 60.
All Bootle's Enviro400's have been sorted and are ready to leave Laird Street this weekend. Pulsars will be going in the other direction for rail reps (See Laird Street thread)
Spotted through the gates at Bootle depot this afternoon, 4629 SN15LMU, 4633 SN15LNA & 4631 SN15LMX, ready for entry to service tomorrow https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/16673233425/ . At least 2 or 3 others behind, presumably the rest will move over from Birkenhead during the evening.
