darlington ecocitys are in service this morning
One of the new Hybrid's from Blyth spotted at a bus stop at Seaton Sluice today, on the route of the 308 (unfortunately did not get fleet number)- I guess it was on driver familiarisation, as it was displaying 'Sorry not in service' on the screen. No passengers, just a guy in a hi-vis talking to the driver.

good news for Darlington indeed, a few year ago the majority of the old Stagecoach buses where high floor with old dennis darts but now their is many improvements, not to mention the new buses for the route 7 coming later on this year. Hopefully some of the ghatly prestiges will be gone by this time next year too

The ecocitys should have replaced the last remaining prestiges from Darlington to Redcar/Reserve.
I saw one of these in service from a distance this morning, crossing Benfield Road about 1020. It had passengers on both decks and was carrying 'Coastliner 308' livery.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for that being a regular allocation - 7620 has transferred as an extra for the X1/X2 to allow four Geminis to operate the route at all times. The ALX400-bodied DAFs will replace the Scanias so more likely those on the 43.

4 Geminis? The reason for 7620 coming was to operate it with 5 when they're all available for service...

Ah, my mistake. Even so, it means the 43 will be the home for the Tridents and the DAFs.
