MPD 1712 has moved to Darlington but is presently sat in their 'dead' corner after they refused using it due to it apparently being 'unfit for service'. Instead, sister 1711 has returned to replaced 2848 to Jesmond.
Additionally, Jesmond have now received B10BLE 4515 from Ashington for the summer PVR increase with the X16 going daily as of Monday and the end of operation of Ashington town service 30 on Saturday. 4515 will likely remain at Jesmond until 1582-89 arrive for the 306 at which time all of Jesmond's Wright-bodied B10BLEs (except for 4514) will transfer to Redcar along with Ashington's 4513. The rest of Ashington's B10BLEs (4501/2/5/6/8/9) will be transferring to Stockton in the next few weeks to replace 6 Prestiges. The rest of Stockton's Prestiges along with 2 MPDs will be replaced in September when 1550-9 enter service.

In a surprising development, former MAN EcoCity Demonstrators WX61FXO (which saw use with North East and Stagecoach Merseyside), WX61HSL (which was used by North West and Go North East) and WX13GHN have been purchased to upgrade operation of service 21 (Darlington - Peterlee) from Solo operation to full size operation. They are expected to become 4812-14.
