I understand that the Arriva journey you mention terminates at Hawes rather than proceeding on to Lancaster. It could be an interesting through journey though!

As my rides around Newcastle and Middlesbrough are still pretty up-to-date, I can always ride from Darlington halfway to Durham and back before getting the bus to Richmond. As I do not have to leave Darlington until 2pm, or even 3pm, I should have time to sample the Sapphire Pulsars in the area the same day.

I'm afraid, the Northern Dalesman 866/826 only run once a day in each direction (Middlesbrough-Darlington-Richmond on a morning and return on the afternoon). Therefore, the further you can get on the 832/831/830 working from Lancaster to Richmond is Richmond on the Dalesbus ticket as they aren't valid on the 26a between Richmond and Darlington (the Evening/Sunday version of the X26/X27)
The first ex-London Volvo B7TL/Wright Gemini has appeared at Ashington depot. They are to be numbered 7812 onwards. The first example to be trialled on the X93 ahead of full time development on there from the start of the summer timetable with the Enviro400s returning to Ashington.

Mistake with the fleetnumbers, they are to be 7484-92. The example currently parked at Ashington is 7484 (LJ51 DHP). They will enable the withdrawal of Olympian 7367 (R641 MNU), Spectra 7482/3 (V640/1 KVH) and DAF DB250/Alexander ALX400 7459-64 (T306-11 FGN).

Not mentioned previously, but during March, the service operations of Classic will join the main Arriva operation. This includes their Nexus contracts and their NHS Shuttle between the two main Newcastle Hospitals. As such, in addition to the 2 mentioned DB250s, 5 Dart SLF/Caetano Nimbus will also move to join the main fleet for the work.

Does this mean Jesmond will gain all the classic fleet!
Makes sense Using B7s on x93,allowing the Enviro400s to ashington as the standard decker used in that depot.What will happen to their Daf250s?

Transferring over from Classic to Arriva Northumbria on the 23rd March are:
Dart SLF/Caetano Nimbus RL51ZKR/S HX04HUH/K RX07KPG/J
Two DAF DB250/Alexander ALX400s (rumoured to be T320FGN and T421GGO)

The 2 DB250s will be withdrawn and replaced by 2 of the 11 B7TLs. Whitby will now gain 6 of them for the X93 - indeed 7494 (LF02 PLJ) arrived at Redcar late on Friday night. As such, 7501-4/12/3 will moved back to Ashington (7501 is already there) which should see 6 DB250s (not sure which yet, could be anything from 7436-40 and one of the Alexander ALX400s or 6 of the Alexander ALX400s) to replace 7459-64 as those 6 (as well as 7432-5) are due for replacement by the end of the year (7436-44 are in line for replacement next year).

So what's happening with all the other Classic vehicles, there's plenty more service buses and all the coaches are these being sold, rather than incorporated into Arriva like the TGM stuff into Arriva Shires?

Only the Nexus contracts (front line service and school work) plus the NHS Shuttle service is passing to Arriva North East. The rest of Classic's work (mainly Durham County Council schools plus the 352 to Blackpool) remains with Classic.

How very strange doesn't really seem much point in doing that, either leave as is as a separate company or integrate, especially since the other division has been totally integrated.

Allocating 9 ex-London VLWs together on route X93 is really sensible. Unfortunately in the North West Arriva are spreading them over several garages, making it harder to track one down.
