I have now seen all of batch 7466-78 carrying their fleetnumbers. They all match the list previously circulated by kuyoyo, apart from 7471 which has registration X503 GGO. I have yet to see 7471/3/4/6 in service however - these four are all at Jesmond though.

This still leaves Y481 and Y497 to be allocated 74xx numbers.

4708 and 4714 are still dumped on Jesmond. There was also an Omnicity there tonight but I overlooked it while checking out the DAFs!

(15/06/2013 22:55)kuyoyo Wrote: [ -> ]The 7466-7478 batch has already been reported, but for people that missed it:
7466 = W396VGJ - Blyth
7467 = W397VGJ - Ashington
7468 = X437FGP - Ashington
7469 = X447FGP - Reported for Blyth
7470 = X504GGO - Reserve at Jesmond
7471 = W392VGJ
7472 = W401VGJ - Ashington
7473 = W402VGJ
7474 = W403VGJ - Reserve at Jesmond
7475 = Y482UGC - Ashington
7476 = W398VGJ - Reserve at Jesmond
7477 = W404VGJ - Durham
7478 = X434FGP - Durham

That suggests those three are 7479-81, as those 3 are the only ones that we don't know the registrations for.

As for those B6BLEs, they are in effect knackered after being sat there for nearly enough 18 months now. There was rumours at one point that some of them would converted into the next trainers for the division but that is now reported to be the V-reg Coaches instead, so it's likely the B6s will be sold off once their book value is low enough.

Ah, right. I thought the batch was only going up to 7479.

My point about 7469/71 was that they seemed to be the only two whose registrations had not yet been verified by observation. Anyway, looks like the whole batch, apart from the red one, should be on the road quite soon.

Those registrations were verified by an Arriva Fleetlist reporter. As only 7466-8/72/5/7 have entered service so far and 7470/4/6/8 have been reported as arriving at their new homes (Jesmond's five are reportedly earmarked for this Summer's Metro Replacment work).

Unless Thorntons have cock-up with the fleetnumbers (which wouldn't surprise me given all the DAFs have Arriva North East legal addresses rather than Arriva Northumbria or Arriva Durham County ones), X503GOO will be one of the final 3 as the quoted registration came from a reliable source in Arriva. 7479-81 are now destined for Ashington rather than Durham, as compensation for Jesmond pinching 4660-2/4 for the 685. The OmniCity you saw will either be 4660 or 4664 as those are the only two know to have moved (unless 4661 has left Stockton now 4652 is here).
Cadet 1914 was on the 15 today, while Pulsar 1427 was on the X66. OmniCity 4652 was on the 5a (and managed to end up 30 minutes late at lunchtime) while 4659 was on the 27 alongside 4046. MPD 1756 was on the 17.
Cadets 1901/5/13 all were on the 15 this morning, although 1905 was taken off about twenty past 11 replaced by 1494. Pulsar 1460 has been on the X6 this afternoon replacing a Prestige and will work a 17a to Stockton about now I believe.

Meanwhile, Darlington had 1611/47 on the X66.
This was in use working from Ashington

A very serious incident this morning saw the front wheel of Prestige 4006 break off on Durham Road in Stockton on the 21a at half 9.

Meanwhile, sister 4001 made an unusual run to Whitby on the 5 alongside 3 Pulsars, while the 1745 5 (which is tagged onto the back of a 28 board at present) was worked by 4056. Meanwhile, Whitby had 1739 on one of their turns.
Pulsar 1456 has been on the 7 today, as was 4038 (which worked the last 6 this evening). A number of changeovers saw 1902 on the 6 in place of 1771.

A number of changes have been registered for North Tyneside services from September, which sees the 306 extended from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay seemingly replacing the X6, which has been cancelled although I would suggest not all the changes have been cleared yet.
Seen in Service today on 44 ex Eldon Sq. reg is X503 GGC

As well as 7471, 7470/4/6 were all on service out of Haymarket today. 4664 also appeared on service 306, amusing everyone as the driver managed to activate the 'bus under attack' alarm. Five minutes later, peace was restored!

Can't say I have ever heard this alarm before - is it just a feature of the Scanias or do all North East buses have this installed?

Only the Arriva OmniCitys have it.
