Re the picture of MPD 1800- Good to see that the 'Pionter' badge,under the windscreen, has not been obliterated with the repaint-it looks more professional than some repaints of the past where makers names were painted over, such as on Olympians, where the famous 'Leyland' scroll on the front grille was in Arriva aquamarine. A little time spent masking up makes such a difference!

Maybe to us enthusists, but do the public notice things like that? No. None of the other Alexander Dennis MPDs repainted so far have retained their 'Alexander Dennis' badge on the front. Indeed, certain ones haven't even got them in their original livery. Plus, at the end of the day, leaving it on makes repainting more difficult.
According to Daniel Duffy, 7518-20 have now moved up North with 4645,4644,1493 now at darlington, and 1923 is also now at stockton

Durham now have 7618/9 from Blyth, both are on X1/X2 today alongside 7626/7.
A FIFTH double decker on the X1/X2 was Lowlander 7442.
