I see that 4660/1/2/4 are reported to be transferred to Jesmond, would these be to replace the 12xx series coaches on the 685 ?

Yes, which delays the planned upgrade of the 20/X20 and means that 3 Olympians hang on to continue providing Amble with a non-LF service.
Since the installation of the new ticket machines I have had a few journeys on 1421, the latest being today, and each time the bus number was 0000, I have been on a few new deliveries where the machine has come from a now withdrawn vehicle but these have all been corrected. I was just wondering why 1421 has taken so long as I thought that the days data is downloaded and set against the particular vehicle it came from for revenue purposes.

Pulsar 1457 made a second appearance on the 21a today, however on a different board to Monday (rather than the Middlesbrough finishing one, it's working the Stockton finishing one).

Revenue isn't assigned by vehicle, it is assigned by route, so the number 0000 is purely administrative.

The number isn't actually stored on the ticket machine however, the number is assigned to the base plate. So swapping machines does not change the number, instead the base plate needs re-assigning.
Blyth's 1403, newly painted in 'Quorum Express' colour, but without branding, was on the X10, Blyth/Newcastle yesterday & today.
Darlington had new Pulsar 1506 on the X66 this afternoon after it was used for filming commitments at Stockton depot this morning.
Meanwhile Redcar DAF 4097 stranded itself on Saltburn Bank while operating a service 4 towards Redcar. It was replaced by Scania 4658.
