I was even more disappointed to note that most of the X93s were being operated by Temsa Avenues currently allocated to Redcar depot.

I had sold the break to my wife on the basis that the view from the top deck from Scarborough to Whitby was very impressive. It is fair to say that she was not at all impressed by the ride quality of a packed Temsa nor the cramped seating layout at the rear of the bus. (I thought it wise not to mention that the 'shower cubicle' she was sitting next to was the engine and that it was prone to going up in flames without warning.)

Whilst waiting for the return trip from Whitby two elderly women explained that they had both experienced deckers failing out of Robin Hoods Bay in recent weeks. Does this explain the use of Temsas?

7401-6 have still yet to be sighted by anybody anywhere in the North East. At last count, they were supposed to be at Thorntons Bros of North Seaton (Ashington), who also are presently in the process of repainting ex-Durham Park & Ride Solos 2852-61 ready to go to Darlington.
The Enviro200s have been allocated fleetnumbers 1320-8.

Prestiges 4001/7 have been reactivated at Darlington depot to cover the refurbishment of the OmniCitys - 4644/5/7-51/7 are all presently at Bus and Coach World in Blackburn. As a result, the X66 is presently booked for operation by 3 Pulsars and 2 Solos (4001/7 were originally to be used on the X66 however they are now being used on towns and routes such as 1/5/5a - indeed 4001 worked the duplicate trip on 'Sapphire' 7 this morning in place of a Pulsar).

Solos 2827/8 have lost 'Whitby Park & Ride' branding with the end of the 171 for this year - vehicles for next year's operation are presently being discussed as the Solos did struggle with the loadings (thanks to the Council underestimating how successful the scheme would be).
7453-6 have transferred from Ashington to Durham depot. 7453/6 have jointly spent most of the week on X1/X2 with both on there yesterday until 7459 replaced 7456.

It would appear that the B9TLs are now in the process of delivery for the X93 Middlesbrough-Scarborough. I am sure that they will be well received at Whitby depot. On another note, it seems that ten 13 plate Pulsar 2s are to be transferred from Bootle to the north east. You are welcome to them as the heating on them is not very good. Do they need buses with an efficient heating system in that part of the world?

It's 10 12-reg Pulsars transferring to the North East - understood to be heading for Durham depot presumably for the 22/24 (Durham - Peterlee - Sunderland or Hartlepool) releasing native examples 1461-79 to Stockton (alongside the delivery of 6 'Sapphire' Streetlites and the cascading of 4 'Sapphire' Pulsars from Darlington once their Enviro400s arrive for the 7) to replace Cadets and make a start on the B10BLEs as well.

I've had conflicting info that all the '12' plates at Bootle are all heading for 'The Shires' along with a few 61 & 13 plate examples.....
Noted plain white solo 2853 (ex Durham P&R) in Haymarket bus station yesterday (Friday 12th). It didn't appear to be on service so might have been on a staff shuttle from Jesmond.

2852/3 are operating for Jesmond depot for the next few weeks on shuttle service 115 (Morpeth-Felton-Shillbottle-Alnwick) while the roadworks on the A1 preverts the X15 serving the villages.

Fleet changes are a result of the MAX relaunch on X26/X27 and X66 are:

4643/6/8-51/5 into service at Darlington, replacing 1410/24 to Durham (replacing 4643/6) and the Darts as followed:
1611, 1626, 1647, 1712 and 1724 to disposal
1646 & 1649 to Ashington along with Reserve 1616
1636/7/9 to Blyth
1616/46/9 and 1636/7/9 allow Ashington's 1792/1800/1 and Blyth's 1773/4/5 to head to Thorntons for repaint and fitting for WiFi for the short journeys on the X14 (Morpeth-Newcastle).
Ashington additional gain 7458 from Jesmond which releases 7518 to Thorntons for refurbishment to Sapphire standard as an additional spare for X21/X22
Blyth meanwhile (re)gain 7466 to allow 7607 to go to Bus & Coach World for MAX refurbishment as an extra for the X10/X11
Durham gain Enviro200s 1320/1/2/3/6/7/8 from refurbishment (which appear to have included fitting of plug sockets.........) releasing Pulsars 1415/6 and Geminis 7618/9/20/6/7 to Bus & Coach World for MAX refurbishment for the X12/X2
Stockton regain Prestiges 4001/7/38 from disposal to cover Pulsar 1441/2/3 which join the aforementioned Durham vehicles at Bus & Coach World
A post on Facebook confirms the following Pulsars are moving from North West to North East:

3113 MX12KXC
3114 MX12KXD
3115 MX12KXE
3116 MX12KXF
3117 MX12KWK
3118 MX12KWL
3119 MX12KWM
3120 MX12KWN
3121 MX12KWO
3122 MX12KWP

They will presumably become 1524-1533.

Just got off one of them now. Cab heater fine the rest of the bus freezing cold. No doubt this minor problem can be resolved.
