I thought NK12 FLN was 1501, not 1503?

Sorry, been a long day, 1503 is NK12 FLR.

This would be quite a useful route. I think that after riding an Olympian-NC I on this route on August Bank Holiday 2009 that I tend to forget it's meant to be coach-operated. I think we discussed earlier in the year that the X4 can use Temsa Avenues.

The X66 only became coach-worked in the Summer of 2010. At the moment, it seems to be either 3 coaches and then any 2 other vehicles on Darlington's allocation or 4 coaches and 1 bus, due to 1213 still being impounded.

As for the X4, it's currently a mix of any full-size low floor Single Deckers allocated to Redcar/Whitby depot (ie Prestiges, Temsas, Pulsars and OmniCitys).

Ah well, this explains why the coaches are on a route I was not expecting. At the same time you have prepared me why an alternative vehicle may turn up first. Route X4 is one of many cosmopolitan routes with plenty of variety of vehicle types!

Yes. And according to rumours I've heard, they may not be on the X66 for much longer.

I will be shocked if this means they face early withdrawal, as against redeployment elsewhere.

Redeployment for the 685 to replace 1201-5 is the rumour.
Middlesbrough Bus Station will reopen on Wednesday after testing over the next two day to make sure everything works.
For historic reasons I would be pleased to know I went on an R-reg coach on route 685 with Cowie moquette. I wonder what would replace the V-regs on route X66, but then rumours tend not to be complete with information!
