What's going on with the 306's recently been a right goody bag on the service, seen a former gne prestige on it, an ikarus, what seems to be Volvo olympian (the newer in age yet older in shape ones) and N reg scania and a few T reg daf alx's
The first information about the Durham County registrations has been filtering through...

Regarding X1 and X2, both will be operating to revised routes (X1 will go via both ends of Stockton High Street and serve Teesdale via Chapel Street and Station Street, double run to the University, before normal route to Middlesbrough). Evening and Sunday route is as per current, but will operate hourly all year round. The buses will also observe all stops between Coxhoe and Durham.

Service X2 will operate to a set route in Newcastle, in via John Dobson Street and Blackett Street and out via Newgate Street, observing extra stops in both directions! It will also include some schooldays and school holiday journeys, presumably when a durham bus will fall out to do some school work somewhere. Extra stop in Birtley is added - not sure where Windsor Road is yet though!

Service 21a will operate the same route as X1 between Middlesbrough and Stockton High Street. It will then operate as current route to Peterlee, but will not go via Wynyard Road in Trimdon. Service 21 will do the same as 21a between Sedgefield and Peterlee. Service 31/31a is withdrawn and replaced by presu, ably changes to the 23/24.

Service X66 will also operate both ends of Stockton High Street on journeys towards Middlesbrough only. Darlington bound journeys will not change and will loop the south end only.

Taking into account these changes, and that I have been told we are using Stands 10 and 6 in Stockton High Street when heading to Middlesbrough on the X1, 21a and X66, I make that 18 departures per hour off each of these two stands, taking into account what Stagecoach and TV/Compass already do!!!!
18 services an hour off each of those stands! That should be interesting. That could backfire on service 7 which already gets squeezed out thanks to the timings on stands 12 and 8.
Prestige 4045 followed sister 4043's antics from yesterday and appeared on the X3/X4/64a for Redcar today.

For what be the last time, Durham had Scania N113 East Lancs 7263 on the X1/X2 today.
It will be a shame for 7263 to leave the fleet, its my favourite step-decker at Durham mainly because it sounds the nicest and doesnt idle as bad as the other 2.

Windsor Road is the stop after Birtley, (Coach and Horses), going towards Durham.

Correction - 7263 may appear on the X1 more often - as of the Weekend it is offically a Durham vehicle again ex-reserve - to displace 1418 to Jesmond.
Next weekend, September 16th, not this weekend coming...
That doesn't surprise me to be honest as Durham needs the vehicles!

Speaking of Pulsars, 1419 has moved to Jesmond also.
Well, it was goning to happen but I doubt anyone expected it to happen this soon - Ikraus 4077 became the first of the type to work the X66 today.

Also today from Stockton saw Prestige 4037 on the 29, presumably as a replacement for 1451 as that was spotted heading back to the depot around about 5 to 3 this afternoon.

MPD 1735 has transferred from Blyth to Redcar as the offical cover vehicle for burnt Prestige 4082.
