Actually, I hadn't thought of that, although I thought they had allowed 1418 and 1419 to be displaced to Jesmond but to be honest we acquire vehicles all of the time and we don't get rid of much so.

New livery. New livery means the current standard livery, or as it was formerly know 'Interurban' livery. I believe it was 4652.
I understand the following vehicles will be withdrawn as part of the Northumbria Network changes on Sunday:
Dart SLF: 1648
MPDs: 1702 1709 1722 1723 1728 1740 1741 1750 1752 1754 (1759 will enter reserve)
B10Bs: 4537 4538 (4538 said to already be withdrawn at Ashington)
Scania N113: 7261
Volvo Olympians: 7410 7412 7413 7414 7417
Darlington-based Volvo Olympian 7365 will move into reserve rather than transferring to Ashington as originally planned (though I don't doubt that move happening anyway).
In other news, VDL SB200/Wright Commander 1401 (NK53 HHX) has transferred once again from Blyth to Jesmond. MPD 1770, not 1769, moved from Stockton to Blyth at the weekend. 4062 is also now at Stockton though has yet to be sighed in service.
Recently withdrawn MPDs
1724 and
1734 are now both parked in Darlington yard, presumably as spare donors prior to their eventual fate. (Photos @ North East and Regional Bus Photos)
Today saw the rare main daytime appearance of 4045 on the 6. As this works onto the evening 27s, 4045 will in theory have also done the 27s tonight unless it was swapped in the depot for something else.

Wish I had swapped it!! A Prestige and the amount of speed bumps round Netherfields are not a good combination.......
The full list of all the Arriva Durham changes are now on the website! -

Interesting changes include the 43 increasing to Every 15 minutes using deckers and the X1/X2 beginning to use deckers.

Read the notice. Some 43s will be operated by deckers, not all workings - probably those that are the busiest at peak times. Same with the X1/X2, some of Durham's duties will be decker operated but, as work is required on Stockton depot to allow deckers to use the pits there, Stockton's workings will remain single decker operated.
Yes, i'm aware of that, one will probably run from the Scholar journey that comes off at 14:41 and rejoins at 15:08.
