Odd workings today:
MPD 1755 on the 9 replacing 1512
Pulsar 1492 was on the 21a this afternoon replacing 4062, 1909 was also on the 21a replacing 4001
Centro 1924 appeared on the last Stockton-working on the 5/X5 to Whitby, having appeared on both the 15 and 17 today
Interesting buses noted in Ashington today were 2 ex Arriva London Geminis LJ51 DJE and LF02 PKO. Both had orange LED destination displays showing 'Thornton Brothers', the nearby bus refurbishment company. Both are also now in aquamarine livery. These buses were originally VLW40 and VLW42 when in London.
40 was just leaving the town centre as I arrived, but 42 worked onto the garage while I was there, ending up inside in front of the pit doors. Does anyone know whether these are destined for the North East ? I suppose their visit to the garage could just be part of vehicle acceptance for another Arriva fleet.
Also inside the garage on the pits was the elusive Spectra 7483. I have still to see this in Newcastle, although sister 7482 is now a regular performer on X20/21/22.
Prestige 4042 was seen working for Redcar today on 64

4042 has been at Redcar since the start of September.

7483 has not entered service with the North East due to mechanical problems.

Clearly you are mistaken - the Enviro400s certainly ain't Sh*t (or at least 7510 wasn't, for the worse ones see the X93 branded examples).
Prestige 4052 has been on the X66 today working for its new (old) home of Darlington. It has replaced 1613 which has been withdrawn.

You need a sense of humour then Kuyoyo - I meant the "sh*t doesn't burn" line as a joke.
Tonight's Evening Chronicle has a report about the fire. It turns out that 7510 was actually not in service when it went up and the cause is thought to be an engine fault.
