The 44a is operated by Ashington depot with the exception of one peak time afternoon school day board that is operated by Jesmond depot.
Many thanks

OmniCity 4662 was back on its old home of the X6 today.

Centro 1924 was on the 29.
I am encouraged that the EcoCities are now in service in Darlington, albeit not all of them. As I shall be in the area 6 weeks from now, I am wondering whether they operate on Sundays yet? I am concerned in case the routes still use Darts, Solos etc on Sundays.

I'm not sure about Sundays, I'll check tomorrow. However, they didn't run on Easter Monday.

Thank you for your immediate response. I guess it may be taking a few weeks for all drivers to be type-trained before they run a daily service.
DAF DB250/Alexander ALX400s 7460 and 7463 are now based at Durham depot, 7460 was on the X24 today with 7463 on the 24.

Only Solos are on the gas bas routes today. Capacity wise, solos are all that is needed on the Sunday town services, so it remains to be seen if they will run gas buses on a sunday.
The problem is that a full gas service can't be run until permanent refuelling pumps are put in place at the depot in July, as mentioned previously by Kuyoyo.

It's more than that I believe, an upgrade of the local gas infrastructure is needed to improve the delivery at the depot.

Thanks for your update. I am coming early to ensure that I ride a leather-seated OmniCity in Middlesbrough prior to cascade to routes north of Newcastle. I can still ride an EcoCity in Runcorn, and will just have a bit of time on my hands in Darlington before proceeding to Richmond (and then Lancaster via Hawes).
