From what I've been hearing off a few local macc drivers I know they are apparently taking the 10s back off winsford.

Also spotted the ex london ALX400 decker a few weeks back on its school duties, quite smart looking still.

Also anyone got an up to date review on what's going on with the fleet lately? Usually not much changes but every now & then another decker/pulsar or cadet gets cascaded in from somewhere. Not sure neither if round the back of winsford depot there's still owt stored.
Interesting diversion coming up for the 84. Due to roadworks, the bus will be diverting via Burland, Spurstow and Beeston. I hope that the time penalty isn't too high and if it isn't what is the potential for a future service here as these villages are the sort which could use a bus if it was more frequent and as part of a distance service, it would be viable but not as a standalone route full of passes.

Two of those villages will be included in the Nantwich area on demand bus scheme that Cheshire East will be trailing. Speaking of which that is supposed to indirectly replace some of the D&G contracted services in the area and be launching 'by September.'

Beeston is obviously best known for the castle - an English Heritage site.
When the new duties come in when the schools go back is the plan.

From 30th August for approximately 3 months.
Are there any plans for 4699 to enter passenger service

No idea, but the latest issue of 'The London Bus' from LOTS hints that more are likely to follow T55 up here.....

HTH
I think the Ramp is still at the Middle Door which would make it unsuitable for Service work, a Wheelchair user wanting to get on/off the Bus at Crewe or Macclesfield would be impossible i think
Seems today (28th august) winsford aren't having a good day at all. Chatted to a driver I know, he said there's 13 drivers apparently not shown up today.

Plus with 2 sets of roadworks in nantwich, 1 lot of which includes 3way temporary lights right outside the bus station means the 84s are in total disarray.
