Apparently theres no Class 37s being used on the Cumbrian Coast at the moment, Anyone heard anything about this?
I have now been told the 37s have been suspended due to an investigation, This would explain why Northern seem to be short on DMUs

Well you obviously know something that the railway press and websites that normally pick up these matters do not know about.
I agree Childwallblues I have yet to come across anything on the internet and enthusiast websites about the class 37's.
If so the DfT would have a major headache as there would be a severe shortage of DMU's to cover .

Not to mention the remaining 4 x 170s at TPE will be going to Chiltern in the next few months and DfT put in the TPE ITT that bidders should expect equivalent replacements to be made available in the short term.

Apparently a 37 failed on the Cumbrian Coast yesterday morning so they were in service yesterday.
It was probably a weather related issue.

Good to see them coping in the *cough* breeze
Cumbrian Coast does suffer a bit in places when there is a strong to gale force North Westerly because in places it really does hug the coast . Im sure if i read right that there had been a washout .
Also have heard that the 37/4's are suffering a bit due to the stop start nature of there work on the Cumbrian Coast.
