Wasnt there talk at one time of adding an extra down (away from london ) track from somewhere North of Wigan but not at Wigan NW to Euxton junction.
RTT has the timetable at Manchester Piccadilly in utter meltdown still with trains still averaging delays of about 60 mins+.

I was at Thatto Heath and the 23:26 to Preston Arrived at 12:11 and the 11:27 to Liverpool had not shown up by 12:45 when i left (and no replacement Bus either!) Having just looked on RTT it appears the Liverpool Service was sent via Bamfurlong meaning it missed out a number of Stations along the route, Since the Ticket Offices are shut by this point no ones going to know their Train aint coming...
I cannot understand the timings in this e-mail.
The refurbishment of the class 144 Pacer does look a bit nicer than the others. This could be superceded by a new style of refurbishment by whoever wins the Northern franchise for next year.

I hope most or all Liverpool - Newton-le-Willows - Manchester Airport/ Victoria services will soon be run by refurbished class 319s.
150134 is currently operating as a three car unit with 52225 from 150225 added.
Half the Wigan stopper diagrams today are diesel. 156424 worked the 0800 from Lime Street and a 142/150 set worked the 0832 from Lime Street.

Does Northern renumber units when there 3 car units to differentiate them for diagram usuage like other train operating companies do.

Unlikely as this is a temporary arrangement. 57225 was involved in an accident at Knaresborough and is being repaired.
No, it's not been renumbered.

SD.
Another Class 319 failed this time at Parkside , they do seem to be very susceptible at the moment , this caused delays for around two hours .

Some TPX / Northern services having to operate via Manchester Piccadilly.
