Posh..
Northern have made an improved pay off of 3% at a meeting with ASLEF today. ASLEF's executive committee meeting tomorrow to discuss the offer. This Friday's strike has been suspended.

The 0731 Wigan North Western - Liverpool which is normally a 4 car working is short formed this morning down to a single 150. That will be a squeeze!
Quite a few reports of short formed services, I suspect there might be a queue for wheel lathes which won't help!

Its a hazard at this time of the year when Wheel Slip is a big problem .
Aye, there was a 142 on the wheel lathe at Allerton today.

Oh dont fancy being on a 142 with a wheelflat not that will be painful for the passengers let alone the traincrew .

Is it just the Liverpool - Manchester Oxford Road service that sees these 142's come to Liverpool , it always seems to be either 156's or 150's on everything else .
It is mostly 150/156 on the Liverpool - Wigan although 142's have appeared occaisionally.

Noticed yesterday at Wigan, the South Parkway service coming up as Liverpool South PW HL on the departure - first time I've seen it written like that.

Also notived Northern are again supporting Movember with a few train fronts now sporting moustaches - certainly makes you look twice when you notice them.
There are booked diagrams on all lines. Quite a few of the Lime St to Bank Quays are 142's during the day.

Ironically the 1631 Liverpool - Wigan was headed by a 142 tonight.
