Due to a failed train at Bryn, all Liverpool bound trains are omitting stations between Wigan and Huyton at present.

319380 is the failed unit, goes nicely with the failed 319361 that hasn't turned a wheel since at failed at Lime St last night and is still there at the time of writing.
Having checked National rail, 319 380 was working the 1531 from Wigan.

Yes this is the service that has failed, another 319 was sent to assist and there were then coupling problems so a controlled evacuation took place
I would normally travel on the 1550 (1530 ex Preston) but was told to go for the 1603 and cross platforms at Huyton to come back. Quite a bit of a detour.

Services between Wigan and Lime St are diverted via Golborne Jn ie omitting Bryn-Prescot for the rest of the day, services towards Wigan are unaffected

Update all Lime St bound services from 2000 normal route
156429 coupled with 142054 is performing Lime st Wigan runs today. Just done a 1003 to Liverpool if anyone wants it and can work the times out

Seen it this morning on the 0803. Presume this is a result of 2 failures over the last few days. The fact 2 diesel units have been made available is quite remarkable. I guess there's been some cancellations or short forming happening elsewhere.

No short forming out of Lime St,even a 150 spare at Lime St since 0820,these units 142054+156429 have been every 2 hours out of Lime St since 0700 and yes they are out vice the 3x319 failures.
More 319 problems today by the looks of it. 15:40 from the airport was cancelled due to a train fault, pretty sure I saw a fair few diesels about but maybe this is normal for a Saturday.
