Interestingly from today, Ashton in Makerfield is the meeting point of services from both Aintree and Bolton depots with the 157 & 559 both terminating in the town.
There was a TFGM versa on the 570 today in Bolton. Usually covered by Standard Cumfy Bus Optare Solos
570 now interworks with the 553 and 559 witch are Green Bus routes

Five 12-plate Solo hybrids from Aintree. I'm not sure of their registrations, sorry.

Interworking reduces costly resoures such as vehiches and additional drivers. Why pay a driver to sit on layover when they can come in on one service and go straight out on another service.
