Gary is an independent transport consultant who helped Cumfybus prepare the bids for the ex-Maytree tenders which were won in 2013 to open Bolton depot. He has had no further involvement in Cumfybus as a whole, or Bolton depot and is not (and never has been) an employee of Cumfybus.
So who is running the show at Bolton? Whoever it is seems to have a higher Fleet standard than the guy at Aintree

Hmm, Bolton shares its 12-plate Solo hybrids with Aintree! Haha...
On a different note, Cumfybus didn't win the 510/519 tender after all so it would be interesting to know which operator did win it.

Night runs? I know Arriva currently run the both on Sundays and bank holidays.

Did hear a rumour that UK Coachways bided for the 519 contract.

Thanks for the clarification on that.
I'm sure I was told originally that it was him that actually approached Cumfybus with the idea of setting up an operation in GM and that he was ops manager at Bolton but everything seemed to have gone very quiet just wondered if he was still there.

Both routes are on the same contract, so if UK Coachways did get the 519 they'd get the 510 as well. Personally I don't think UK Coachways would bid for that as the company's main appeal from a staffing point of view is that most of its work is Monday to Friday daytime schools runs, so no late turns, hardly any Saturdays (apart from the 535/537) and (as far as I know) no Sundays, so it wouldn't be a good fit for them and they'd find it difficult to cover. Of course, I could be wrong on that and they may have won it, but I would be surprised if that was the case.

I think Arriva might have got it. They seem to be quite fond of their night-time tenders at the moment.

No problem, I think he was a good friend of Cumfybus's MD long before Maytree collapsed.
Does mr mitchell still resort at cumfybus.
