How will Enviro400 operation be achieved? I'm guessing some vehicles will need to be transferred in?

Reported to be some moving from Newcastle to South Shields, which then leaves the question of what they will be replaced by there. Also leaves the question of what will be leaving South Shields as a result. Considering they'll be a reduced need for MANs as a result of the Enviro400s arriving (only need maximum of 4 in effect, 2 for the X20 1 as back up for that plus an additional 1 as back up to the Enviro300s), it would allow for the replacement for some of the S-reg MANs (if cascaded to Teesside, 22451/2/4-6 could be replaced, releasing 6 would allow the entire batch to be replaced if one when to Sunderland to replace 22453). Until we know more, the amount of speculation is endless (another 'rumour' going round is that some of South Shields' Enviro300s will be transferring to Sunderland, though I can't see that happening).
Enviro 400's for Shields are supposed to be coming from Slatyford. My own theory see's a batch of Enviro400's heading north from Stagecoach Manchester. These would be part of the cascades replaced by their 40 new hybrids due imminently.
22068 replaced it at Slatyford apparently, straight swap
Another Enviro400 may be, or has arrived tonight too.
2 more due to arrive tonight or in the morning so would expect to see them out tomorrow. 22050 debranded

Now, I have to admit, when I first heard about this yesterday, I thought it would have one of the older examples at Slatyford rather than one of the later ones based there.

Are the Enviro 400's to shields just for the X34 service, or are there for the Economic E1,E2 and E6 services as well?, used to be deckers on the economics before it went to single deckers, does anybody know is there high volume of passengers on the Sunderland to Shields service?
The E1 espically gets busy but the Enviro400's are for the X34, whether they are permanent is another thing...
