(12/07/2012 13:14)kuyoyo Wrote: [ -> ]Absolutely no idea. It was actually back out earlier in the week on the 40 with its flip dot working. So, unless it's only going to see exclusive use on the X63 over the summer, I can't see why they were using its display yesterday.

A think the way it is now might suggest that it may be used across the x63, it wouldn't surprise me because I use that bus a lot and it very rarely newer bus, the closed to new is often 55 reg MAN's

That's because, at the moment, the depot run-out sheet has the X63 down for B10BLE operation (much like Stockton's depot run-out sheets had the 35 as the same until this week, now down as 'New MAN' aka the 03-reg and 22065) hencefore those vehicles are used. Of course, given Walkergate are expected to swap their B10BLEs for a couple of Slatyford's Enviro400s (to maintain a mainly decker-operated network from Walkergate) expect to see the 55-reg MANs on there regularly from now on.
(Before mention, the MAN Enviro300s heading for Walkergate depot are expected to be used on the 38)

If am honest a prefer the older buses tbf especially the Olympians but obviously they couldn't be used anymore due to the no low floor

Unfortunatly, the Olympians haven't even been brought out of storage at Stockton* and the B10BLEs are going after the Enviro300s and Enviro400s return from London.
*And even if they had, 16707 requires a new gearbox before it can be used again
I'm still not entirely convinced the Walkergate B10BLEs will be able to go as soon as the Enviro400s return, given they have been in regular service for many months...

What happened to the walkergate ones which were used on the '1' and the 'x63' were they passed to stockin or sold or scrapped
Hi,

How far do the E1/E2/E6/18/19 stop from the Airshow?
I think the 18/19 don't go to Seaburn at the time as you see them around Seaburn but they retime the E1/E2/E6's to Seaburn just for the Airshow as seen here

Those are the ones in store at Stockton. 16704/5/7/30. The rest of the short wheelbase ones passed to other parts of the Stagecoach empire. 16701/2/3/31 were sold out of the company (16702 remains in the North East with Tees Valley Coach Travel).

How far do the E1/E2/E6/18/19 stop from the Airshow?

E2: will operate via normal route from South Shields to Whitburn and then run via Front Street, Moor Lane, Sunderland Road, Shields Road and Newcastle Road. Please note, during the affected times northbound Service E2 buses will observe the bus stop outside Fulwell Grange Hotel, not the bus stop on Charlton Road.
E1/E6: Between 1000 and 1800, Services E1 and E6 will operate between South Shields Market and Seaburn Camp (Whitburn Bents Road) only. Additionally, on both dates, to avoid difficulties caused by indiscriminate car parking, Service E6 will not serve the southern section of Lizard Lane but will operate instead via Kitchener Road and the A183 (Coast Road, Mill Lane and East Street).

Service 18 Grindon Circle: Buses will operate via normal route to Station Road, then via Dene Lane, Dykelands Road, Princes Avenue, Seaside Lane, Park Avenue, Roker Park Road, Roker Baths Road, Gladstone Street, Retail Park Link Road, Roker Avenue, Church Street, then via normal route. Buses will not serve South Bents Estate. Please note, Service 18 will not operate on Sunday 22 July.

Service 19 Grindon Circle: Buses will operate via normal route to Roker Avenue, then via Retail Park Link Road, Cardwell Street, Fulwell Road, Roker Baths Road, Roker Park Road, Park Avenue, Chichester Road, Sea Road, then via normal route. Buses will not serve South Bents Estate. Please note, Service 19 will not operate on Sunday 22 July.
Enviro400 19199/214 have departed for Manchester today.
Stockton MAN 22011 was used as part of a trial of the temporary bus station in Middlesbrough today, along with an Arriva vehicle (29 branded Pulsar but unsure which)

All the B10BLEs will be going once the Olympics are over. Had it not been for them, they would probably have been sold off last year when the Enviro300s replaced them at South Shields.
