As Mbonwick said, 21104/41/50 are officially reserve so won't be replaced. Also, the Darts at Newcastle are the R-reg ALX200s that are to be replaced indirectly by the new Enviro200s for Sunderland.
Olympian 16833 was on the 58 today while 16834 was on the 35, 16835 on the 13, 16836 on the 52 and 16839 was on the 12/14 alongside Trident 17027. 17026 was on the 12/34.
Trident 17032 is reported to have been on the 35 today.
Trident 17025 has now been repainted to match 17027/32, I assume 17026 will also been treated along with the remaining 6 from Hull when they turn up.

16835 started the day on the 58 until a hole in the bodywork was reported and it was replaced by 24108. 16831 worked the Hartlepool-starting extra 36, while 16836 was on the 13. 17027 was on the 35 while 17032 was a changeover on the 13 for 22195 and 17025 was the other extra 36.

Wait, what? We have 10 Olympians, surely as such we should be getting 10 Tridents in their place.
10 covering a PVR 8 is 25% spare, which is higher than SC generally operate to. Partly this is because there aren't quite enough spare singles, but with new ones on order that is no longer a problem.

9 replacing 10, reducing spares to 12.5% is perfectly doable.

So, we're replacing 10 highly reliably Volvo Olympians with just 9 Dennis Tridents of which we've already experienced their poor reliability? It's not less spares we'll need, it's more. Won't exactly be good for retaining the contracts in the future if we have days where Enviro300s are being pulled in off the 36 to go cover school runs.

Anyway, Olympian 16831 was on the 52 today, 16833 was on the 35 and 16835 started the day on the 58 before being replaced by 17032 while 16835 had the seal for the front nearside upper deck window repaired after which 16835 went onto the 13.

but its only a difference of one double decker, and it will only be for a few months, if Teesside get the same treatment as Sunderland have received next year, or even half their will be plenty of single spares which they can use before the usage of the ALX400's. I can't see stagecoach running any scholars after 2016 anyway.

The Macmillans are contracted until 2019 (contracted was renewed in 2009 for I believe 10 years) and likely beyond that unless another local operator can undercut a bid. The contracts at Macmillans are for a large capacity vehicle - hence the mention of Enviro300s as back up on the schools.
