Spain and Italy final it is then.
Not a single club backed rangers' plea to remain in SPL in today's vote.

Majority of SFL clubs don't want them in division one either .. Happy days Big Grin
Scottish football could be really different this season. It would be really fascinating to watch Rangers fight their way back to the SPL over a couple of seasons. The reality is yhst player retention is becoming a problem.

Most of the first team squad has already gone.

Also doubts about where they will play home games - If say someone like Tesco's put in a bid that tops that from new consortium for the stadium to demolish and build a shed, sorry, supermarket on the site, the liquidator will sell to them and rangers will be homeless and leagueless!

Not all bad news today then
This is getting complicated now seems that the players that decided to leave as free agents are now having there registrations blocked by the SFA , something to do with them not recognising the Rangers Newco just yet .

Sometimes dont you just wish somebody would get there finger out and sort out the problem.

Indeed, but the parties are in uncharted waters, as it were, not suprising that things taking longer than everyone would wish.
I think that the SFL teams would also like to know whether its D1 or D3 that Rangers are going into .

If Rangers where to go into D3 those teams would think all there Christmas's have come at once .

I think everybody else will shout conspiracy if they get placed in at the D1 stage.

Dont forget Rangers have the chance for a bit of extra silverware as there is a cup competition that is only open to SFL teams in the first portion of the year.

am glad we got burnley for our first game Smile
Here is a possible way out for Rangers; When Airdrie went bust, they "aquired" Clydebank'a assets. They then re-formed as Airdrie United and play in Airdrie. Clydebank FC disappeared into Scottish junior football.

Also looking possible that the start of the Scottish season will get pushed back a week or so.
