Good news is apparently the new bus station is opening early 2017 according to what I've read on the web. Looks much better with it having toilets/info kiosk & a shop too, plus it's all undercover which will be better than having to suffer the arctic winds that blow around the exchange!

The bus station is due to open in march which coincides with Frodsham street reopening I would hold out on the new station being much better, the glass doesn't go roof height and I think st martins way and gorse stacks lane won't be glazed at all so it won't be that wind resistant
The new bus station is a joke. I hope all operators just abandon it and kind of keep to a decent bus stop like blacons can go from Northgate Church and the rest from the rail station as currently. It looks horrendous. I could have made a better bus station with my eyes closed.

How about instead of ranting and raving about it, wait and see when it opens to the public and is fully operational. You don't know a thing about how it will work when it is completed, and what it will look like and also what facilities it will have. so I wouldn't presume at this early stage it will be a total catastrophe.

At the moment, it is still a construction site, so it is almost virtually impossible to see how it will work once completed. For sure, it will be more modern and safer than the current one.

How can Blacons go from Northgate Church? That would just cause major backlog onto the Fountains Roundabout, but more importantly, if they are starting/finishing at the church... they will be terminating a long way away from the city centre itself.

Why is it a joke? To me it looks a lot like Birkenhead's or Wythenshawe's bus station and they look alright
It looks ok thus far, so what if the glass isn't full height, who's really that bothered? It'll be a massive improvement on the bus shelters that are on the current exchange.

Also having an info kiosk will be very helpful for passengers. Hope it lasts considering cheshire east have shut macclesfield & crewe's offices. Plus a shop/toilets all in one place without having to negotiate the stairs into the market loos wil be a lot safer. As YK53 GXO & red panda have said let's not sl*g the place off before it's even opened.

We should be grateful that the council are spending let's face it a fairly big chunk of money on improving things for bus users whereas usually we hardly get a look in.
Cadet 2551 DK55 FYR is now at Chester, it's just passed me on the 4

Also, Pulsar 2647 CX07 CTU was on the 10 before, but 4639 CX15 BXR was a few minutes behind it running out of service so it may have been swapped
